HEALTHY FOOD SHOPPING IN UK
www.ocado.com: Ocado is my go-to for everything! I absolutely love them. They are awesome and stock so much amazing "real food" from lucuma and maca powders to raw butter and raw cheese. I love that they work with small artisan purveyors of fine food and local farms to ensure awesome local produce.
www.abelandcole.co.uk: Abel and Cole is a brilliant farm-to-table delivery service. They work directly with the best farmers, bakers and carrotstick makers in the land. We've been receiving a weekly fruit and veg box for a few years now and can't think of life without it. Best way to ensure fresh, seasonal and local produce delivered to your doorstep!
www.realfoods.co.uk: This online store is incredible for those trickier things to find that Ocado just don't seem to stock. Yes you can find them at Whole Foods and Planet Organic but for a small fortune. RealFoods.co.uk is where I get things like: raw cacao powder, organic short grain brown rice (practically impossible to get anywhere else in UK, can only get long grain) etc... They also do bulk discounts and offer free delivery to mainland UK for any orders over £24 which is just the best!
www.lfm.org.uk: The London Farmers' Markets website is your directory to all of the farmers markets in London; have a look to find your nearest one (you should be able to find one of these for most cities). Farmers' markets are the best place to get fresh, seasonal and local produce and you get to meet the farmers who have actually grown the vegetables, reared the chickens and picked the fruit that you will be eating. Such a lovely way to reconnect with our food source and our roots to this earth.
